It’s always amazing to me how intelligent human beings keep doing exactly the same things and expect different outcomes. Change is a very difficult concept for some people to get heir heads around. I don’t really know why, except that some people don’t like to take chances and others just want to stay with what’s in place.
People that benefit from entrenched systems obviously would never want to change them.
So, if you want to start up a new business and you want to do it the same way people have done it previously then you can throw the dice.
We know more than half eventually fail so if you stick with the current systems, odds are that you will probably be one of them.
The Blueprint start up system has been designed to increase the chances of a new business owner establishing a successful business.
This is done by professional planning and preparation.
The Blueprint Start Up System focusses on preventing problems rather than going full steam ahead and solving problems on the run. Some problems are difficult to foresee but you can still be ready. If you like solving problems and you feel good fighting fires, my system isn’t for you! However, if you are a person who wants to start up like a professional, be ready for problems and start up a successful new business, then I would love to work with you.
I wrote this list a couple of years ago, check it out and see if you agree with me.
So, here are my top 5 business start up predictions 2015 …..
Number 1. Prediction 2015 – Start Up success (or failure) rates will be pretty much the same as they were last year. The year before and the year before…….
It is pretty amazing to me that with all the new systems, start up experts and another year of start up experience, the same problems, plus a few new ones will impact on entrepreneurs again in 2015. Logic suggests that if the start up fundamentals stay the same, so will the outcomes. One in four new businesses will fail in the first year.
Reason: To do the same things every year and expect to see a different result, doesn’t require explanation does it?
Confidence Percentage: 95%
Number 2. Predictions 2015 – Governments in Australia will all continue to promote themselves as key supporters of entrepreneurs and new businesses. However there will be little practical support for those brave enough to invest their own money and time and they will have to continue alone.
Reason: Governments all over Australia are reeling under revenue downturns in previously lucrative fields like stamp duty, GST revenues, commodity prices, sales taxes and are hit again with ever increasing universal health costs.
Confidence Percentage: 90%
Number 3. Predictions 2015 – The number of franchise businesses available will continue to rise, as will the numbers of people willing to buy into them.
Reason: Franchising is a reasonable option for people considering a new business. Like everything else though there are good ones and not so good franchising arrangements available out there. It takes a lot of research and a lot of questions before buying into a franchise. Entrepreneurs who decide to go this way need to make sure they know EVERYTHING before signing on – After you sign on, it is too late!
Confidence Percentage: 90%
Number 4. Predictions 2015 – Entrepreneurs who elect to primarily do business online will have to be even smarter this year than last year if they want to successfully navigate this potential minefeld. Websites, key words, cost per click advertising, search engine optimization, website hosting and online marketing techniques are just a few of the key areas that would need to be safely navigated.
Reason: Internet trading is still growing very quickly as the way to interact with customers and sell products and services. Some entrepreneurs, depending on their type of new business will have to seek the majority of their clients online. This means all the things I mentioned plus some. One false move on any of them and you can get caught for thousands of dollars. First time entrepreneurs versus people established and working full-time in their field of expertise. Who do you think wins?
Confidence percentage: 90%
Number 5. Predictions 2015 – Entrepreneurs who are starting up a new business will continue to get offered poor advice and at times really poor value for their money. This will be even more prevalent for online start ups that will continue to be more complex.
Reason: Understanding of start ups in Australia is much less understood than what it is in the USA for example. People often think that they will develop a website, write a couple of blogs and then they can plan their retirement. It rarely works that way. There are so many things that can have a negative impact on your business that is often not the fault of the business owner. For example, slow website load speeds can stop business activity on the spot. It could be the web host, it could be the way the site is built or a bunch of combinations. The other thing about start up businesses is how do you know that people who claim to be experts actually know what they say they know?
